Díaz-Canel ended his Africa trip this Monday in Namibia, where he completed a trip to three other countries on the continent, state media report.
The Cuban President was dismissed in the country’s capital by President Hage Geingo, with whom he held official talks, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said on the social network X.
Rodríguez Parrilla and his Namibian counterpart Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah signed three agreements to strengthen cooperation this Sunday. The agreements include a memorandum of understanding between the Namibian Ministry of Trade and the island’s Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.

In dialogue with the Namibian President, Díaz-Canel assured the “will” to strengthen cooperation with this African country.
Earlier, the head of state took part in the summit of the Brics countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) and in this context made official visits to Angola, Mozambique and Namibia.
Díaz-Canel arrived in Namibia on Saturday from Mozambique, the third stop on his African tour, which began in Angola, where he held official talks with his counterpart João Lourenço and took part in the signing of memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations in the areas Tourism, investment and food regulation.

On August 21, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center for State Control of Drugs, Equipment and Medical Devices of Cuba (Cecmed) and its counterpart in Angola, which will allow the exchange of experiences on new techniques and technologies.

According to Prensa Latina, through the agreement with the Angolan Regulatory Agency for Medicines and Health Technologies (ARMED), professionals from that country will participate in education and training programs at Cecmed.
Likewise, countries will share knowledge in areas such as haemovigilance, regulation of medical devices, pharmaceutical logistics, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics.
During his stay in Angola, Díaz-Canel met with representatives of the Solidarity Movement with Cuba, staff at the diplomatic headquarters and Cubans living in the African country.
As interim President of the G77 plus China Group, he attended the 15th Brics Summit in the Brics Plus Dialogue section. Prensa Latina notes that he recalled that the actual transformation of the current international financial architecture, which he described as deeply unfair, anachronistic and dysfunctional, is a historic claim of both the G77 and the Brics countries.
During the meeting, the Cuban President spoke to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, with whom he highlighted the excellent state of relations between the two countries.
