Post Malone has made an impressive physical transformation in the last few months — and people have taken note.
The musician has reportedly lost over 50 pounds, which he previously said is due to the healthier lifestyle he’s been adopting since giving birth to his daughter last year — like quitting drinking soda.
“I really enjoy performing and have never felt healthier,” he wrote in an Instagram post in April, adding, “Life as a dad began and I decided to give up soda and feel better “So that I can be there for this little angel for a long time.”
He also noted in his post that “next up is smoking and beer” when it comes to what he’s trying to quit consuming. Malone opened up about his drinking — along with psychedelic mushrooms — in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe last month.
And while he’s best known for his popular songs like “White Iverson,” “Rockstar,” and “Circles,” the artist is also known for his head-to-toe tattoos.
His prominent facial tattoo, in particular, is something he has previously said is a sort of defense mechanism, telling GQ in a 2020 interview that his collection of facial tattoos “maybe comes from a place of insecurity, a place that where I don’t like the way I look. So I’m going to wear something cool there so I can look at myself and say, ‘You look cool, kid,’ and have some level of confidence when it comes to my appearance.”
However, it appears that Malone has evolved from this point on his transformative journey.
“I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and for as long as I can remember I’ve been sad,” he said in a statement in 2022 announcing that he and his girlfriend were expecting their daughter.
“It’s time to take care of my body, my family and friends and spread as much love as possible every day,” his statement at the time continued.
The Grammy-nominated artist is currently spreading the love on tour in South America and Asia and released his latest album, Austin, in July.
