Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec arrested three men and two women in connection with drug trafficking in the Lac-Saint-Jean region.
The police initially arrested Félix Michaud (26) and Mélissa Guay (41) as they were traveling in a van in Dolbeau-Mistassini.
A 34-year-old woman was also arrested during a search of an apartment on Rue Principale in Albanel.
Police eventually arrived at a residence on Wallberg Boulevard in Dolbeau-Mistassini to arrest 52-year-old Gino Paquet.
A man who was at the scene was also arrested.
During the various searches, the police were able to get their hands on the following:
- 800 methamphetamine tablets;
- 100 grams of cocaine;
- Dozens of counterfeit drug tablets;
- Illegal Cannabis;
- More than $1000;
- A 2022 Yamaha YZ motorcycle as illegal property.
Félix Michaud, Mélissa Guay and Gino Paquet appeared and remain imprisoned.
The 34-year-old woman and 27-year-old man were released and will appear in court at a later date.
