Claudia Winkleman has revealed that her husband Kris Thykier is a better parent to their three children than she is.
The 52-year-old TV presenter shares Jake, 19, Matilda, 15, and Arthur, 10, with her 50-year-old film producer, who she married in 2000.
Claudia is currently juggling presenting on Strictly Come Dancing, mystery series The Traitors and music show The Piano.
Although she loves being at home with her family, the star admitted it’s a delicate balancing act alongside her duties at work.
“Luckily my husband is a better parent than me,” she joked to the Daily Mirror.

While she’s found success as the host of three of television’s biggest shows, Claudia remains humble and insists it’s all down to luck.
She said: “The Traitors and Strictly and The Piano are so strong that anyone could host them.” We all know it. But I’m lucky to be there. That’s the truth.
“That doesn’t mean I’m not incredibly grateful, but it’s just a coincidence that I fell for her.”
It comes after Claudia revealed she ignored her children’s pleas to quit the “embarrassing” Strictly Come Dancing role.
While accepting an Outstanding Achievement Award at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Claudia was interviewed by her friend Kirsty Young.
Speaking about her son, she said: “He said to me, ‘Mom, you really need to stop doing this, it’s so embarrassing and my teacher mentioned it’.”
“I just said, ‘See those sneakers, Jake?’ He said, ‘Okay, sorry!”
Claudia is preparing to co-host the 21st series of the hit BBC show alongside Tess Daly, but is remaining suitably reserved about her role.

She laughs: “My only job is to make sure of it.” [the celebs] are okay and stop speaking in a timely manner.
“I know I’m not allowed to say I just paint myself orange and read out loud, but actually that’s what I do most of the time. “So that’s the gig, but it’s really, really exciting.”
Claudia has revealed that she spends her TV-free time being “a very annoying person” to her three children.
The TV personality hilariously confessed that her children beg her to give them some space during the ten months of the year when she is not busy presenting Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking exclusively to Web at the No7 Pro Derm Scan launch party, she blamed her former mother, newspaper editor Eve Pollard, 76, for the “terrible” habit.

She began: “I hear the subway all the time, but never in my life have I been recognized, never in my life. “I go there four times a day with my children…”
“Sometimes I’m on TV, but only two months a year, and the rest of the time I’m flitting around.” The rest of the year I lick the children.
“I follow them and I’m a very annoying person for them.” They say, “Mom, give us some space,” and I say, “No.” I’m terrible. It comes from my own mother.’
When asked how she manages to stay incognito, she replied: “I don’t even wear sunglasses, I’m not a madman.” Oh my God… stop it! I have no status. Are you crazy?’
The hit BBC show will be back on screens on Saturday September 23rd, with the celebrities speaking alongside their professional partners.
The series, hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, will run for 13 weeks and is scheduled to end with the live finale on December 16th.
The BBC show posted a sneak peek video on its Instagram page after Strictly’s 2023 celebrity line-up was confirmed.

And two standout stars were Zara McDermott, 27, and Bobby Brazier, who impressed with their dancing skills.
Zara performed a “noodle dance,” waving her arms in the air and moving her body from side to side.
The former Love Island star, a fitness fanatic who looked incredible in a red sequin dress, also made the unlikely claim that she looked like an “inflatable” while dancing.
She joked: “When I dance I look like one of those inflatable mascots outside a car dealership.”
And EastEnders star Bobby has perfected the ‘worm’ during the new video, which is sure to make him popular with younger audiences.
He looked dapper in a white double-breasted blazer and sleek black pants.
Strictly’s official social media page said: “See who’s warming up for a brand new series from #Strictly.”
“We’re back in the ballroom this fall!”
