A woman nicknamed “Poolside Karen” for her tirade against a Latino family told police: “I’m not normally racist.”

A video uploaded to TikTok by a Latino family member shows her becoming so angry that she has to be restrained by a man she was dating.
Newly released Lakewood police bodycam footage provides more details about what happened after the altercation.

After the altercation, in which Featherman told them to “go back to Denver,” police were called to the scene.
Bodycam footage obtained by The Messenger shows her telling a police officer: “Usually I’m not racist at all.”
“But I’ll tell you what, they come in and they come in for their party, they’re tacky, they’re gross and they don’t belong here. ‘I’m paying for it.’
She was also heard complaining that the family she got into a fight with wouldn’t be arrested “because they’re Latino.”
Featherman later claims they are part of a gang without providing any evidence.
Members of the Latino family told officers that they were residents of the luxury Alta Green Mountain complex and had actually paid to rent the clubhouse for a family celebration.
The two independent witnesses who live in the complex can be heard telling police that Featherman instigated the ordeal.
“She said some strange, extremely racist statements and became really aggressive,” one told an officer.
While another said: “[Featherman] started it all; She said “you don’t belong here,” before the woman told her to “go back to Mexico.”
But Featherman told an officer she had video that showed her being attacked by the group.
However, an officer can be heard saying that there was nothing “criminal” going on in her clip.
“I know a police officer and that’s nonsense,” she replies. Then it seems like she calls the officer she knows and tries to get him to talk to the people at the scene on the phone.
However, the responding officer states that he cannot file a report until she can prove it was an assault.
Featherman says, “I get it, I get it.” “People can get away with anything these days because they’re Latino.”

She was also heard complaining that the family she had gotten into an argument with wouldn’t be arrested “because they’re Latinos.”
She denied the family’s claims that she hit a 14-year-old girl who was recording her during the tirade, but later admitted that she had tried to take her phone.
“I’m sure she does [saying that] “They want to kill every white person,” Featherman claims.
“Let her go and claim it. ‘I’ll see her in court!’
The original video shared on TikTok shows her complaining about the group – while calling them “trash” and saying they should “go back to Denver”.
She attracts a crowd of several people – and eventually the police – and continues to yell and harass the family in the clip. At one point she screams “Go away!”
“Yes, that’s true,” the bikini-clad woman is heard saying in the clip, clearly annoyed by the group’s presence. “You’re having a damn Mexican party in a pool.”
At this point, Featherman approaches the woman filming before physically accosting her.
“You can’t do that.” “You can’t just tape me,” she says, before snatching the phone from the person filming.
The stitched footage then presumably jumps a few minutes later to where Featherman is now being held on one of the poolside sun loungers by a male member of their own group.
While this is happening, she continues to criticize the family for her presence.
Several surround Featherman and argue with him – as she continues to scream as she tries to confront the now enraged group.
Amid the commotion, they can still be heard making xenophobic statements like “Get out!” and “Go back to Denver.”
Featherman screams and screams for almost the entire duration of the video, which is just under a minute long.
When one of the victims asks her to leave the pool herself, she is heard replying that she lives in Lakewood – the affluent suburb where the complex is located.

She told the group to “go back to Denver.” The ordeal happened at their apartment complex, where condo rent went for as much as $6,500 a month
At one point, she is heard angrily saying to the family who had just thrown a poolside party, “I live here, nowhere you’re ever from, you fucking underclass slime.”
The video then shows a recording of at least three police officers arriving at the crime scene.
They are seen talking to Featherman and the man who was holding them before the clip ends.
Featherman previously told that she was goaded into her ill-conceived comments by a wannabe model desperate for TikTok views.
And she said she was the one who was attacked by a group of women, but the video released didn’t show that.
“I’ve tried to remain silent and not comment, but there are things that the video doesn’t show,” said art consultant Featherman.
“I’m not a racist.” “It has been deceptively edited and put together to tell a story that is not true.”
She said she was attacked after she complained that the group had broken rules regarding the number of guests a resident of the complex could bring to the pool.
She admits taking the bait and getting into a fight was wrong, but said things got to the point of desperation.
Featherman told that the group was loud and there were too many people at the pool who didn’t live at Alta Green Mountain.
That’s when things escalated, she claimed, saying members of the group began shouting racial epithets at her and filming her while she sat poolside. “They called me white bitch and white this and white that,” she said.
“I’ve had a bad day,” Featherman said. “But that was too much.”
As she picked up the phone, she claimed she had been physically assaulted.
