Blink-182 postpones European concerts as Travis Barker returns to US for ‘urgent family matter’

CNN –

Travis Barker had to put family first instead of continuing to tour with his rock band Blink-182.

The band announced on their verified Instagram Story on Friday that their drummer Barker “had to return home to the States due to an urgent family matter.”

Their shows in Glasgow (Scotland), Belfast (Northern Ireland) and Dublin (Ireland) “are postponed,” the message reads. The shows were part of Blink-182’s “World Tour 2023/2024,” which began in April and was scheduled for earlier this month.

The tour is currently scheduled to continue on September 8th in Antwerp, Belgium.

No further information was provided regarding the nature of the family matter.

CNN has reached out to a representative for Barker and Blink-182 for comment.

Barker is married to Kourtney Kardashian and the couple is currently expecting their first child together (Kardashian already has three children with her ex Scott Disick).

Barker is also the father of two children and stepfather to one from a previous relationship.

In June, Kardashian announced she was pregnant in a video on Instagram in which she was seen in the audience at a Blink-182 concert holding a sign that read, “Travis, I’m pregnant.”

Later that month, the couple revealed the gender of their baby in a video shared on the couple’s Instagram pages. In it, Barker caused a drum roll seconds before blue confetti shot out, revealing they were expecting a baby boy.

On Thursday evening, Barker posted images of a community prayer room on his verified Instagram story.
