Julia Michaels is “doing so much better” after recently having her gallbladder removed.

On Friday, Michaels, 29, announced via Instagram that the removal had already taken place two weeks ago and thanked everyone who gave her their support during her recovery.

“I’ve been without a gallbladder for two weeks now and I’m finally feeling much better.” “Thank you and lots of kisses to everyone who reached out and checked on me,” she posted on her social media profile.

In the snap, Michaels, who split from JP Saxe last year, appeared at the camera with a playful kissy face. She wore her raven locks in soft waves and a hint of pink tint on her pout.

The comments section was flooded with supportive remarks from fans who were relieved to learn that the artist was A-OK.

“I’m glad you’re feeling better!” one posted.

“I’m glad you’re feeling better now! Your hair looks beautiful!” another agreed.

“You only get stronger,” one fan reminded her with two applause emojis.

Michaels received a Grammy nomination in 2018 for her hit single Issues and in 2021 she received another award in collaboration with Canadian musician and then-boyfriend JP Saxe for their collaboration If the World Was Ending.

Before Michaels found fame with her own music releases, she wrote songs for pop stars such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, Gwen Stefani, Fifth Harmony and Hailee Steinfeld.

Last year she split from JP Saxe after three years together.

Their relationship arose from their collaboration on If The World Was Ending. Although they co-wrote the track, it was credited to Saxe, with Michaels listed as the featured artist.

The song peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and eventually sold more than three million copies in the United States.

The song’s success continued, and the singers received a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, which is given specifically to songwriters rather than performing artists, although Michaels and Saxe did double duty on the track.

The singer-songwriters began dating shortly after collaborating on the song and were brought closer together by quarantining together at the start of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Breakup rumors began circulating around the couple as they shared dueling social media posts that seemingly revealed breakup songs in the works.
