After defeating colonialism, Vietnam showed the world the example of confronting American imperialism, which bombed and practiced the use of banned substances such as napalm, which maimed hundreds of thousands of children, women, men and the elderly. It is estimated that up to 3,010,000 Vietnamese died in this genocidal war.

With victory as the only option in life.

Thus, in 1975, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the historic mission of liberating the South and reunifying the country was accomplished.

In the midst of the war, in 1973, the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, was the first and only head of state to visit South Vietnam to fraternize with the fighting people and stand by Vietnam until our dying time. own blood.

A year later, on March 26, 1974, in an act of solidarity with the Asian nation, Fidel exclaimed: “We can say that the Vietnamese have not only fought for themselves, they have fought for all the peoples of the world, they have fought for the world.” For the liberation of humanity, they fought for the cause of socialism and communism! The men who died there also died for us. And humanity will forever be grateful for these services to Vietnam!

Today, 78 years after its declaration of independence, Vietnam stands as an example of its struggle to build a modern, industrialized country that guarantees political and social stability and the well-being of its people.
