Actor Kayky Brito is run over in Barra da Tijuca, western zone of Rio

The 34yearold actor Kayky Brito was run over in the early hours of this Saturday (2) on Avenida Lucio Costa, number 4,700, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio.

According to the city health department, he is admitted to the intensive care unit and his health condition is considered very serious. The actor suffered polytrauma and head trauma (understand here).

Kayky was run over by an app driver while crossing the road near the Barra Bela residential complex.

The driver who was driving the vehicle was taken to the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca) and the Instituto MédicoLegal (IML) in central Rio, where he underwent a breathalyzer test. According to military police, the driver of the vehicle was not found to be drinking alcohol.

The fire department was called around 1 a.m., the boy was rescued and taken to the Miguel Couto Hospital in Leblon, in the southern district of the city.

According to delegate Ângelo José Lages Machado, head of the 16th DP, the driver of the app car was charged with causing bodily harm by road.

Before he was taken away by the military, the actor had breathing problems. Kayky is the brother of actress Sthefany Brito.

One of the actor’s standout roles was in the 2003 soap opera Chocolate com Pimenta, in which he played the character Bernadete, a boy raised like a girl.
