Adriana Lima stuns in an elegant gold dress as she joins leggy Lady Victoria Hervey at the Venice premiere of Maestro – but star Bradley Cooper is absent during the strike action

Adriana Lima was among the few stars in attendance at the glitzy Maestro premiere at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on Saturday.

The 42-year-old Victoria’s Secret icon stunned in an elegant gold halterneck dress at the event, which was also attended by stars such as Lady Victoria Hervey and Isabella Huppert.

Noticeably absent from the event was Bradley Cooper, who plays composer Leonard Bernstein in the film, as much of Hollywood stays away from the red carpet due to ongoing strike action by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA.

Adriana graced the red carpet and posed in the gold figure-hugging ensemble as she walked down the red carpet.

She accessorized with a statement diamond red necklace, a pair of matching drop earrings and a large red ring.

Lady Victoria Hervey, who was also in attendance, made a stunning appearance at the lavish event in Venice.

The 46-year-old socialite went bold in a figure-hugging purple dress.

The stunning dress, which featured a corset-like bust, was studded with diamonds all over and had a long, sheer purple train.

The beauty also looked very leggy on the red carpet as she put her tanned and toned pants on full display.

She also chose to further enhance her height with a pair of strappy diamond stiletto heels and sported a glamorous makeup look.

French actress Isabelle Huppert, 70, was also present at the glittering event.

The Paris-born actress showed off her unique style on the red carpet in a silver fringe dress.

Cooper plays the role of the legendary music conductor in the film alongside Carey Mulligan, who portrays his wife Felicia Montealegre, with the film exploring their relationship.

“Maestro” has been called one of this year’s most anticipated releases and marks Cooper’s first project as a director since his Oscar-nominated “A Star is Born.”

After a trailer and promotional photos were released, Bradley’s use of a prosthetic nose drew intense criticism from a number of leading members of the Jewish community, who accused Cooper of resorting to “Jewface” in his portrayal.

Bernstein’s eldest daughter Jamie defended the decisions to Vanity Fair, saying, “It’s just such an annoying distraction. “People waiting to get angry about something were just waiting to pounce.”

She added: “It just amazed us at what they’ve achieved.” He (Hiro) sent us photos on his phone and some of them were so on point that we were like, “Oh, come on, he just did “Secretly sneaked in a photo of our father.”

According to Deadline, jury member Jane Campion also attended the premiere and joined a flash mob on the film festival’s red carpet in support of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests in Iran.

They were among around 100 filmmakers, artists and pro-democracy activists who joined the flash mob that took place before the gala screening of Maestro on Saturday.

The group carried placards with portraits of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, whose death in police custody last September after she was arrested for not wearing her veil properly sparked the protests.

There were also banners for director Roustayi, who was revealed last month to have been sentenced to six months in prison for “anti-regime propaganda activity” for screening the family drama at Cannes in 2022.

The arrests are believed to be part of a crackdown as Iran’s draconian Islamic Republic regime seeks to suppress dissent ahead of the first anniversary of Amini’s death on September 16.

Earlier in the day, Nattiv and Ebrahimi’s groundbreaking collaboration – the first film to have an Israeli and an Iranian filmmaker as co-directors – had its world premiere at the Orizzonti section in Venice.

It tells the story of a young judoka who faces a life-changing decision during the World Championships when the Iranian authorities want to withdraw her from the competition.

As part of other activities in support of the Iranian democracy protests, the parallel section Giornate degli Autori screened Ayat Najafi’s undercover film “The Sun Will Rise” in an advance screening on Wednesday, September 30th.

The film revolves around a rehearsal by an Iranian theater group in Tehran for a performance of the Greek comedy Lisistrata by Aristophanes.

During the attack on the Acropolis, which was occupied by Athenian women, the force finds that they have been surrounded by riot police.

This comes after the Venice Film Festival began its 80th edition this week and the festival has a lot in store for its guests, with events including Giorgio Armani’s haute couture celebration ‘One Night Only’ taking place on Saturday.

The breathtaking amFAR Venezia gala takes place on Sunday.
