A journey of almost three months to go beyond his limits and enjoy real life away from comfort, in contact with nature, on board his motorcycle. This is the achievement of 28-year-old Leonardo Alfrediani from Thienese, who left on June 5th and returned on August 27th. He undertook a journey whose final destination was the North Cape, the northernmost point of Norway, where he raised the centaur flag Anonymous, symbol of belonging to a closed group, ready to help and support those in need. A group 
who supported him in this very powerful experience, his first big journey in wild mode, alone with himself, with his thoughts, with his abilities and his willpower. Yes, because as he himself admits, “everyone can do this journey, but wanting to do it is another thing, especially alone, you gain experience and self-confidence, you have the feeling that you can do anything.” A lot of courage, too a lot of determination as well as preparation and knowledge of the route and its pitfalls:
“I went through this experience because I knew the different difficulties I would face and because I wanted to overcome them by stepping out of my comfort zone. After starting in the rain I found the sun halfway through and then towards Scotland I found a lot more rain and wind. Many difficult challenges had to be overcome and many wonderful people met on the journey. I slept mostly in the outdoor bivouac tent, setting up at dusk and dismantling at dawn. Day after day, I tried to understand and optimize the best routine for my diet by eating things I brought with me, like freeze-dried foods or sandwiches from a supermarket, sometimes a fast food restaurant where I needed an internet connection. Whenever possible, for personal hygiene reasons, I stopped by to take a shower or made do with disinfectant wipes.”
Despite the desire to continue on the path to achieve the goal he had set for himself, Leonardo often experienced moments of discouragement due to the many difficult situations that he had to face alone. “Many times I thought: ‘Who made me do this?’, but I really wanted to keep going and told myself: ‘If you’re wet, you’re wet.’ In the past I’ve had two small experiences, one of a 1700 km long Distance in Germany and one of 1200 km in Croatia. Small goals in comparison, but still a start. These three months are the result of my desire to travel, I wanted to see the world and do it on my own, without the comforts of everyday life. I missed my loved ones, although I was a rather lonely person, it was still difficult to be alone. Over time I learned to understand what 
It means being away from human contact, from the ease with which you can hear and see whoever you want. Being alone in the middle of nowhere showed me the value of a hug at the end of the day, things we take for granted. When I returned home, I hugged my mother, my aunt, Paolo, my mother’s partner, relatives and people who supported me on my journey. When you’re alone for so long, you look for contact, and having the chat available every now and then where you can share a photo or a few words was a great support.” Now Leonardo is thinking about the future and the new ones Adventures he wants to face: “I really liked Lofoten in Norway, a magical place, cold but where I could live, which made me accept the presence of the sea, which I don’t do.” Thanks to the I don’t like the nearby mountains. In the future I would like to go to Cappadocia or Nepal in the mountain ranges. My dream would be to travel Italy-Japan through Turkey and Kazakhstan and see how the really poor people live like in Mongolia.”
The comrades of the Centauri Anonimi group were proud and greeted him with one on August 27, the day of their member’s return home 
big celebration and explained: “We thank Leonardo for carrying our flag, for always believing in our ideals and we are happy to have kept him company by also creating small videos to document his endeavor .” Thank you for what you have taught us on your journey.
Waiting for him at home was his mother Larissa, who was always by his side, even from a distance, encouraging him and making sure her son knew what was coming: “He was very good, at the beginning he reassured me of the possible Presence of bears and wolves told me that they were in the east and were extinct in some areas, so I realized this was well documented. He sent me a two hour video which I watched in its entirety and asked him some questions to test him, but to be honest he made sure to leave, left me calm and got up definitely heard every now and then. It was a wonderful experience, it was as if I had traveled with him and I will always thank him for letting me share this experience, which makes me proud of him.”
