MOSCOW, September 4 – The Russian Air Force carried out an attack on Ukrainian army fuel depots in the port of Reni using unmanned vehicles, the Defense Ministry reported.

The military unit reported on its official Telegram channel on Sunday that the aim of the attack was achieved and all intended facilities in the important port of the Odessa region were hit.

In the Krasny Liman region, Russian troops repelled two Ukrainian attacks while near the cities of Torskoye and Yampolovka in Donetsk; and Kuzmino and Chervonaya Dibrova in Lugansk, the 21st, 63rd and 67th Ukrainian mechanized brigades were hit.

In the Kherson region, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the last 24 hours amounted to 60 soldiers. Meanwhile, Russian troops took out more than 125 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored fighting vehicle and two cars in the sector of the front south of Donetsk, the organization reported.

Likewise, Russian forces repelled six attacks in the Donetsk frontline area, particularly near Klesheyevka and Artyomovsk, eliminating up to 250 Ukrainian soldiers.

In the frontline zone in the Zaporozhye region, Russian troops repelled three attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Rabotino and Verbovoye districts.

In addition, an attack by army aircraft and heavy flamethrower systems hit the personnel and equipment accumulations of the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine west of Verbovoye.

The enemy’s losses amounted to more than 130 Ukrainian soldiers, two armored fighting vehicles, three vehicles, three M777 artillery systems and three M119 howitzers of American production, as well as three D-30 guns.

In addition, three field ammunition depots of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Novosiolovka, Chervonaya Krynitsa and Orekhov in the Zaporozhye region were destroyed, the ministry said.

Finally, air defense systems intercepted five Himars multiple rocket launchers and one American-made JDAM guided aerial bomb and shot down 34 drones using electronic warfare systems, the Russian military reported. (Text and photo: PL)
