Jill Biden has tested positive for the coronavirus, her office confirmed Monday evening – the White House said President Joe Biden tested negative.
The 72-year-old first lady has “only mild symptoms” and will remain at the couple’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a statement said.
Meanwhile, the White House said Joe – who was last seen with his wife on Saturday but was also in Delaware on Monday – tested negative for the virus.

In a statement released Monday, Jill’s spokesperson Elizabeth Alexander said, “This evening the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19.”
“She is currently experiencing only mild symptoms.” “She will remain at her home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware,” Alexander said.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said: “Following the First Lady’s positive test for COVID-19, President Biden underwent a COVID test this evening.”
“The president tested negative. “The President will test and monitor for symptoms at regular intervals this week.”
