The passenger who was on board the app car that ran over 34yearold actor Kayky Brito made a statement on Monday afternoon, the 4th, at the 16th DP in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone. Maria Estela Lima told journalists that driver Diones Coelho da Silva was not taking part in the race at the time of the accident and that he was cautious throughout the journey.
“He was careful and attentive throughout the entire journey and even when the collision occurred. He was pretty shaken, he seems to be a very calm person,” said the passenger as he left the police station.
The accident occurred early Saturday morning on Avenida Lúcio Costa in Barra da Tijuca. Maria Estela was accompanied by her 10yearold daughter at the time of the accident.
“My daughter was very nervous. I walked out and saw someone on the ground had been run over. I told my daughter not to look because she was crying.
