Péricles admits it is “virtually impossible for Exaltasamba to return TV Cultura

O Roda Viva welcomes the singer, composer and instrumentalist Pericles this Monday (4).

The journalist Claudia Alexandre recalls that in the late 1990s many Pagode groups disbanded and the singers pursued solo careers. But the Exaltasamba lasted more than 10 years. So she wonders what motivated the group to continue and why it ended at its peak.

The singer admits that it is still difficult to talk about this topic today, but explains that the members as a group have already achieved everything.

“At that time we announced that Thiaguinho and I would pursue solo careers. It wasn’t the end of the group. The rest would carry on. But as a group, my story, that of Thiaguinho and Pinha, was over. As a group we achieved everything an artist aspires to. If we kept looking for these numbers, if successful it would be more of the same, if not it would be a tragedy. That’s why we preferred to stay at the climax in that moment,” explains the singer.

How can the end of Exaltasamba be explained? The task fell to him @periclesfaria during the #RodaViva.

The singer explained the group’s resistance compared to others to continue to do so at the expense of solo careers.
