A Delta flight from Atlanta in the United States bound for Barcelona had to turn around and return to its origin airport. The reason? One of the passengers suffered a severe bout of diarrhea that affected the entire plane. The story was published by the Chron.
The plane had only been in the air for two hours on its way to Spain last Friday (1st) when the pilot asked to return due to the complicated situation. “We had a passenger who had diarrhea the whole plane, so they want us to fly back to Atlanta. “This is a biohazard problem,” the pilot told air traffic control.

The plane was met on the ground in Atlanta by emergency vehicles, who removed the passenger before cleaning the plane. Finally, the plane landed in Barcelona after a flight of 8 hours and 13 minutes and a delay of 8 hours. It is not known whether the passenger with digestive problems was back on board the plane when it landed in Spain. Watch the video about the condition of the aircraft:
The widespread disruption affected the entire aircraft, which had to undergo a fivehour cleaning, including the removal of all carpets. Passengers on board provided an update on the case and said they made the right decision to return to their boarding point.
“My wife and I were on a flight. It was a disaster. The drivers made the right decision by turning around. The floor staff ripped out the carpet and put in new carpet. “Given the circumstances, the ground staff, along with the flight attendants and pilots, did a great job,” one of the passengers wrote on social media.

Another person described how the team used vanillascented disinfectant upon returning to Atlanta, but the odor mixture became unbearable. Despite the difficulties, she stated that the plane was even cleaner than when she boarded it.
“My partner was on that flight! It was really bad. [As fezes] They were scattered all over the hallway and smelled terrible. The vanilla scented disinfectant just made it smell crappy and like vanilla. After landing, the aircraft was thoroughly cleaned. They didn’t leave until around 2:30 a.m.,” he said.
