The farewell to politics seems final. Following her resignation from all posts and divorce, former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, one of Europe’s youngest political leaders and a strong voice for Ukraine, has announced that she will join the non-profit organization Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Marin, who was 37 when she took office in 2019, led a centre-left five-party governing coalition until April this year. He has received praise for his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and his support for Ukraine over the past year has increased his international visibility. In addition, Finland became the 31st member of NATO. “It’s time to move on” he told Finnish public broadcaster YLE. “I’m looking forward to taking on a new role.
