After traveling with his dog for a few weeks in a van between Maine and Gaspésie, the comedian let himself be carried away by inspiration, either from impulses or suggestions from his community, which came to him through his confessions on their Facebook page or their Instagram account followed.

“I have such a great connection with my fans on social media! I was picked up by a couple who gave up everything to buy a campground in New Brunswick, I met some really nice people, I laughed until I cried, I watched a fishing boat sink in the fog one morning in Maine see when I swam, the comedian narrates at full speed before he starts laughing. No project lasts forever. At 50 it’s scary. I told myself that if I had paid my rent out of pocket, I should be able to pay it today. I decided to trust life,” he says with a laugh.

As he prepares to travel to France for a month to test his show and a few jokes, Maxim Martin has no shortage of projects: he is finishing work on his book “53 – Jump into the void”, which this Set to be released in spring, continues recording His podcast deal avec! is preparing a new show for 2025…

“I no longer care about the number of tickets sold,” he admits. I’m not retiring from show business, it’s not a divorce. I’m not closed to radio or television, quite the opposite. I’m creating my own little dome,” he says, before proudly mentioning that his 14-year-old son William recently played some of his first games.
