The history

A terrible story coming from Brazil. A pilot from 38 years old, Otávio Augusto Munhoz da Silva, died in a plane crash after surviving two weeks in the Amazon jungle following another crash last year. According to the authorities, last August 28th The pilot flew his private plane over Mucajaí, south of Roraima. The accident happened in the city of Pacaraima, in a forested area near the border with Venezuela. Roraima Civil Police are currently investigating the pilot’s death.

Death occurs a year after the first accident. In fact, the pilot had already crashed his plane in September 2022 due to an engine failure, but survived 13 days in the jungle. The private jet piloted by Da Silva reportedly got stuck in the canopy of a tree. After bailing out, the pilot was left to fend for himself for almost two weeks until he was spotted by a passing ship.
