A pig that fell from a truck was rescued by a motorist on the portion of Route 530 in Valleyfield Thursday afternoon. It involved a pig hunting on the side of the road while several motorists stopped to catch it, causing a major traffic jam.

The young woman who rescued the piglet, Virginie Picard, was driving on Route 530 in Valleyfield around 2 p.m. Thursday, not knowing she would be running after this animal.

According to the posting on the Spotted Valleyfield Facebook group, several drivers claim that the door of a truck transporting pigs was not closed properly, which would explain why the pig ended up on the road since there is no pig farm in the area was close.
