AGI – The founder of the platform for the cryptocurrency exchange Thodex he was sentenced to a Guinness sentence: 11,196 years in prison in Turkey. The man, Faruk Fatih Ozer, fled the country with his client’s assets and shares the impossible punishment with two brothers deemed accomplices by the Istanbul court.
The Thodex founder was wanted by Interpol and arrested in Albania in August 2022, sixteen months after fleeing Turkey, which was extradited last April.

The platform suddenly halted its activities after releasing a cryptic message saying it was taking five days to process an unspecified foreign investment. Thodex had run an advertising campaign that promised investors that it would offer some of them luxury cars along with profits.
