The men’s singles semifinals at the US Open with the top three finishers decided who will play for the 2023 championship.
First, number two seeded Novak Djokovic fought unseeded Ben Shelton at Arthur Ashe Stadium
And later in the evening, Daniil Medvedev, seeded number three, took on Carlos Alcaraz, seeded in the tournament and number one in the world.
And as always, there was no shortage of celebrities and high-profile people in the stands cheering on the star-studded action on the pitch, including actresses Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron.
Blunt, 40, who previously announced she was taking a year off from acting to spend more time with her children, made that decision at the US Open with husband John Kasinski and their daughters Hazel, nine, and Violet, good use, seven.

“I’m not working this year,” the British actress revealed during an appearance on the Table for Two podcast in July. “I worked quite a bit last year and my oldest baby is nine, so we’re in the single digits for the last year.” And I just feel [like] “There are cornerstones of their day that are so important when they are little.”
