Rio de Janeiro

A new medical bulletin was published this Saturday (9th) for Kayky Brito, who was run over on one of the main roads in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro, last Saturday (2nd). The actor remains sedated and on mechanical ventilation, according to the document signed by the medical team accompanying the artist at the Copa D’Or hospital in Copacabana, south of the city.

“The Copa D’Or Hospital informs that the patient Kayky Fernandes Brito remains sedated and mechanically ventilated, his clinical picture is under control and has not changed in the last 24 hours,” the document reads.

According to the hospital, Kayky has been feeling better in recent days. On Wednesday (6), the actor showed “signs of evolutionary improvement” and on Thursday (7), he continued with a “satisfactory response to treatment.” This Friday (8) the hospital department claimed that Kayky had a “clinical condition under control”.

Previously, Diones da Silva, the driver who ran over Kayky, used the networks to thank people for the support he received as a result of the hitandrun. He also announced that he would donate a portion of the proceeds from a virtual car repair fundraiser to charity.

“God has already given me what I needed to start my life over again. So what has become of it, what will pass, I want to spill over into other people’s lives. Those who need it too, like I needed it.” “That’s my heart’s desire,” said the driver.
