A new star shines at Olstrom. Marc-André has become a star and forms the most productive duo in the company with Évelyne. While waiting for the results of the investigation, François grows impatient. Patrick hasn’t fully recovered yet, but is trying to go back to work. And where is Vincent, who we haven’t heard from in months?

A lot has happened in the first season of Before the Crash, the series conceived by Éric Bruneau and written in collaboration with Kim Lévesque Lizotte. Marc-André has experienced a meteoric rise. “At the beginning of the series he had left the world of finance and was living penniless in voluntary simplicity. Today he has found his way again and is undoubtedly the one who has best overcome the trials of the first season. At the beginning of the second minute things were going very well for him. He has a condo, a car and a big job,” says Kim Lévesque Lizotte. Marc-André (Éric Bruneau) is professionally successful and loves Camille (Chanel Mings) perfectly. Is it too beautiful to last forever?

A fire squad
Marc-André had returned to work at Olstrom to be closer to his best friends. He even took a job as a clerk, only to be rehired. François and Patrick are gone, but he quickly rose through the ranks and teamed up with Évelyne, who also performed well last season. After a painful setback, she got back up and with a lot of energy prepared her revenge on François, her ex.

Marc-André and Évelyne are the stars at Olstrom. Everyone wants to work with them and they close files at breakneck speeds, bringing significant revenue to the company and themselves. Taschenreau, her boss, couldn’t have asked for better. He was forced to get rid of Dominique and close François’ office, two of his best elements, but Évelyne and Marc-André leave him with no regrets. Olstrom is more productive than ever, and Taschenreau has his fiery team to thank for that.
Francis in trouble
Evelyne’s personal life is less encouraging. François and she are in the middle of a divorce and all decisions are allowed. “It’s going to be like a fight, a competition. They are both very competitive and want to win the other over. But a divorce is not a trophy. You will realize that you can never really emerge victorious from such a situation,” warns the author. François is also deeply affected by the insider trading investigation. He can’t go back to work until it’s done. He maintains his innocence, but the evidence is overwhelming. What will the investigation reveal? Marc-André is different. Everyone smiles at him, both at work and in his private life. He is in a relationship with Camille, the waitress at the bar where he often went with his friends. They go well together and ask for nothing more.

Patrick and Vincent
Patrick is on sick leave and soon returns to Olstrom. He’s doing better with medication and therapy. He also made it clear to Marie-Michèle. They came to an agreement that admittedly satisfies Marie-Michèle more than her spouse. However, Patrick claims that he finds his account there as well. However, his return to work may not be going as well as he thinks. At the end of season one, Vincent became a millionaire by selling the company he had invested in. Shortly thereafter he had to say goodbye to his father. After the funeral, Vincent walked away and no one has heard from him since. His friends would like to know where he is. The same goes for Florence, who misses him very much and finds it difficult to deal with the new rules her mother has introduced.
