Spoilers for the week of March 7th to 11th

In the teaser, we get our first look at what Wan has in store, and it looks wild. Colorful, energetic, all the things that made the first film – cheesy as it was – a big hit. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opens December 20th and here’s your very first look.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom | Teasers

We’ll learn much, much more about Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom later this week. But for now, Warner Bros. describes it like this:

After failing to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta is still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death and will stop at nothing to take down Aquaman once and for all. This time, Black Manta is more formidable than ever, wielding the power of the mythical Black Trident, unleashing an ancient and malevolent power. To defeat him, Aquaman turns to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must put aside their differences to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family and the world from irreversible destruction.

Jason Momoa plays Aquaman, as do Patrick Wilson as Orm, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin. James Wan directs from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story by Wan, Johnson-McGoldrick, Jason Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett. It opens on December 20th.
