The late department store heiress’s Carinthia VII is being offered for charter following a major overhaul. The price is not for everyone…
In fact, the Carinthia VII should have changed hands for 160 million euros – at least the luxury yacht was put up for sale by department store heiress Heidi Horten for that price. In fact, the five-star ship was sold last fall for “just” 95 million euros. After a general renovation, the yacht can now (theoretically) be rented by anyone. “Fraser Yachts” is now offering the Horten ship to potentially wealthy clients – it costs a whopping 1.4 million euros per week (!) to rent the luxury ship.
“The yacht is now available on the charter market for the first time and offers discerning travelers a truly exceptional opportunity,” says the supplier. Carinthia VII is 97 meters long and was built in 2002. She offers sleeping space for 12 passengers, is designed for a crew of 30 and covers six decks. The fitness area is 90 square meters and on the main deck a 12 meter long swimming pool offers the opportunity to relax.

“New life” for the yacht Horten
For the first time since the renovation works, the former yacht Horten will be in the spotlight at the “Monaco Yacht Show” from September 27th to 30th. “We can now see her given a new lease of life thanks to major renovation work. She is a very impressive vessel and a testament to the strength of German engineering and production,” said Peter Lürssen, managing partner of “Lürssen Yachts”. The yacht was completed at the German shipyard in 2002.
