Aerosmith is currently on a farewell tour of North America, but that trip is put on hold after singer Steven Tyler suffered vocal cord damage during a recent performance.

According to the band, Tyler suffered damage to his vocal cords during a concert on Saturday and was unable to sing for at least 30 days.

“During the show on Saturday I suffered damage to my vocal cords which resulted in bleeding,” he said. “We need to reschedule a few appointments so we can come back and give you the service you deserve.”
