Edwin Castro, the winner of the record-breaking $2 billion Powerball jackpot, continues to rise and expand his real estate portfolio.
The new billionaire from Bel Air has now purchased a $47 million Los Angeles estate sold by celebrity real estate agent Mauricio Umansky.
The massive property features seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a koi pond and a huge infinity pool with views of all of LA. It complements his other home in Bel Air and a residence in Altadena.
Castro’s life changed when he bought the winning ticket at a local gas station last year.
In February, Castro claimed $2.04 billion in winnings from the November drawing and settled for the lump sum of $997.6 million. Since then he has been spotted in a Porsche and at the houses.

The billionaire’s life was put on display as his million-dollar purchases made headlines.
Castro has been living large since his win and is now purchasing three separate mansions in California for a total of $76 million. He was also seen driving away from a bank in a vintage Porsche.
The new seven-bed, 11-bath palazzo features DJ turntables, a champagne tasting room and a floating glass walkway.
As you enter the building, a huge, swimming pool-sized koi pond with glass walls and an infinity pool awaits you in the foyer.
The entire house is equipped with electric cables so even those taking a dip in the pool can feel the beat, making it the perfect place for a party.
The home even comes complete with a bar area, a glass-walled wine cellar, and a huge home theater and screening room.
Of course, the bedrooms have walk-in closets, sitting areas, so-called “relaxation suites,” and large bathtubs – luxury at the highest level.

If Castro tires of the $4 million estate, he’ll be just about 20 miles from his second complex in California, which he bought a week earlier for $25 million.

At the time of his win, Castro said in a prepared statement, “As shocked and thrilled as I am to have won the Powerball drawing, the real winner is California’s public school system.”
Public schools in California benefit from the state lottery.
This means the education system received over $156 million from the record-breaking victory.
