November 9, US Senate asks government for documents on Riyadh Latest News Ansa.it

The Senate Homeland Security Committee has threatened to use its resources if the Justice Department and FBI do not turn over by Thursday the omission-free documents about Saudi Arabia’s alleged involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks. The Washington Post writes it.

“Nearly two months after our initial letter request, we have not received a single document nor have we received an explanation for any of the hundreds of remaining redactions, despite the government’s recent declassification review,” wrote Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-R) Ron Johnson (GOP). “Your failure to respond to our letter only reinforces our concerns about the U.S. government’s longstanding refusal to provide the American public, and especially the families of victims, with full transparency about Saudi Arabia’s role in the 9/11 attacks.” .
