Quebecer Maxime Comtois does not yet have a contract in his pocket for next season. However, the forward could be one step closer to that direction as he is reportedly close to agreeing terms with the Vegas Golden Knights on the terms of a professional tryout contract.
At least that’s what TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie reported on Tuesday morning.
According to Lavoie, Comtois is currently in Las Vegas and could sign the contract this week.
The Quebecer spent the last five years with the Anaheim Ducks, where he collected 86 points in 210 games.
The 24-year-old was an unrestricted free agent after the Ducks declined to extend him a qualifying offer.
It was already in the news, but Maxime Comtois arrived in Las Vegas last night. THE @GoldenKnights is expected to confirm this week that he has signed a trial contract with the team. @TVASports
