My Mum, Your Dad’s Monique breaks down in tears as she talks about her past heartbreak and admits she doesn’t feel “good enough” while looking for love

My Mum, Your Dad’s Monique broke down in tears on Tuesday’s episode after the group of singles discussed marriage.

The 50-year-old therapist was upset when presenter Davina McCall led a group discussion about her search for love in the garden.

She ran into the house crying, prompting Davina to comfort her and offer her a shoulder to cry on.

Monique revealed: “I couldn’t help it.” It’s just that I’ve never experienced being in love and just wanting to love someone because you’re a nice person. But you’re never good enough for someone to stay with you.

She added: “My father said it before he died, he said to me, ‘Whatever you do in this life, find love.'”

Her daughter Taiya, 21, watched along with the other children in the monitoring room and also burst into tears when she saw her mother upset.

She explained: “She was cheated on multiple times by multiple people and I think that triggered something in her.”

Davina comforted Monique and said, “You’re far from the end of your life. You’ll get there, Monique.”

Monique wiped away tears and explained: “I have nothing to lose.” It was just an emotional buildup. “It’s a difficult path to be so vulnerable with a group of strangers.”

She went to the others and admitted, “I just want to give love and be loved. ‘Heartbreak, I’ve had enough of it.’

Taiya gushed: “I’m just so proud of her, I really am.” I think this could be the start for her and give her a breakthrough.
