The actress Larissa Manoela stars in a new commercial for fast food chain Burger King, in which he alludes to his Family conflict related to financial issues. In the advertisement, she announces the “Double King” promotion, which allows customers to buy two hamburgers for only R$25. But it’s her last line that grabs attention: “It’s my money!”

The campaign comes amid a public conflict between Larissa and her parents Silvana Taques and Gilberto Elias over control of their fortune, estimated at R$18 million. The actress revealed to Fantástico her dissatisfaction with her parents’ management of her assets, saying that she had difficulty separating from her parents in managing her career and assets. Hence the phrase “It’s my money!” serves as an effective subtext for the audience.

“We are a brand known for being irreverent, cheerful and trendy. And nothing is more like us than adding Larissa Manoela to our campaign,” said Juliana Cury, vice president of marketing and sales at ZAMP, master franchisee of Burger King and Popeyes in Brazil.

The campaign starts this Wednesday the 13th on TV and digital platforms.
