This Monday, September 11th, the Montreal premiere of the film Solo by director Sophie Dupuis took place at the Cinema Impérial.

Let’s remember the synopsis of the film: Simon is a rising star in the Montreal drag queen scene. It’s love at first sight when he meets Olivier, the new recruit to the bar show he’s performing in. While Simon believes he is experiencing an electrifying love story, a toxic and destructive dynamic develops between them. At the same time, Claire, Simon’s mother, a famous opera singer, returns to the country to work after a 15-year absence. Fascinated by this woman, whom he hardly knows anymore but whom he idealizes, Simon persistently tries to build a bond with her. Weakened by the failure of these two impossible loves, Simon is left with no choice but to realize that he deserves better.
The main roles are played in particular by Théodore Pellerin, Félix Maritaud, Anne-Marie Cadieux, Vlad Alexis and Tommy Joubert.
For the occasion, actress Catherine St-Laurent walked the red carpet in a magnificent black dress.
