It’s easy to win over most young women – just don’t be a MAGA supporter and watch the Barbie movie.

A fascinating survey has revealed the most common likes and dislikes among 18- to 34-year-old men and women in the United States

Change Research asked 1,033 Americans whether certain behaviors in a partner constituted a green, beige or red flag. Both genders agree on some points, such as the importance of having hobbies or the fact that people “bother” each other so much that they ask for details.

For 76 percent of women, supporting MAGA ideals — Make America Great Again, a moniker espoused by former President Donald Trump — was repugnant. At 64 percent, men were most reluctant to identify as communists.

A majority of men surveyed – 59 percent – ​​also cited pro-Trump beliefs as a deterrent when looking for a partner.

It was a similarly left-wing story with gender identity. 54 percent of women said people who believe there are only two genders put them off. A sizable minority of men — 34 percent — felt the same way.

The Joe Rogan podcast was also controversial among women: 55 percent said they were not interested in a man listening to the extremely popular show. Just over a third of men surveyed felt the same way, even though the audience for Rogan’s show is overwhelmingly male.

Overall, there were stark differences in how men and women viewed their stances on astrology, Black Lives Matter, and owning a gun as attractive traits.

Biggest dislikes for women

Among women ages 18 to 34, which includes Generation Z and later Millennials, conservative views tended to be off-putting.

Not caring about politics is a red flag for 50 percent of women, but talking about politics will also turn off 23 percent of young women, and identifying as liberal is a clear no for 19 percent.

For more than half of women, hearing about Joe Rogan rules out a man as a potential partner. 55 percent say that listening to the controversial podcast would be a warning sign.

About 66 percent of women said having “no hobbies” was a warning sign. Whether it’s knitting, gardening or golf, having a few hobbies is better than having none, according to the Change Research survey.

Using the anti-Black Lives Matter phrase “All Lives Matter” was enough to turn off 60 percent of women.

The biggest turn-offs for men

Men of the same age also identified their greatest active qualities in women as part of the survey.

About 59 percent of men say identifying as a MAGA Republican is repulsive. However, 64 percent of men believe identifying as communists is a warning sign. So perhaps it’s best to be in the middle of the political stage.

Not having hobbies will turn off 60 percent of men, but make sure astrology isn’t one of the hobbies that will turn off 41 percent. Watching reality dating shows is a no-go for 29 percent of men.

Saying “All Lives Matter” is less attractive to 41 percent of men and “Black Lives Matter” is repulsive to 33 percent.

Identifying as a conservative and listening to Joe Rogan will turn off 35 percent of men.

Here are some suggestions

Both men and women say reading is a turn-on. 95 percent of women believe that men who read are attractive, and 91 percent of men agree.

Both genders also agree that researching the best deals and rates before buying is a turn-on – 88 percent of women and 85 percent of men.

Other popular green flags among women include saying “Black Lives Matter” (60 percent) and identifying as liberal (39 percent). Unsurprisingly, looking better in person than in photos on dating apps also sparked strong appeal, appealing to 50 percent of women.

Men are often turned on by women who prefer cow’s milk over non-dairy milk, with 42 percent saying this is a green sign.

Men are also more attracted to women who describe themselves as conservative (35 percent) than to women who describe themselves as liberal (29 percent).

While both genders agree that reading is popular, they disagree about whether listening to Joe Rogan isn’t. Only 7 percent of women say men who listen to Joe Rogan approach them, but 25 percent of men like women who listen to the controversial podcaster.
