One user predicted Aaron Rodgers injury

Aaron Rodgers breaks his silence

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is “heartbroken” but appears to want to get back into the game at some point.

On Wednesday, the 39-year-old spoke publicly for the first time since completely tearing his Achilles tendon during his first appearance on the field with his new team. This ended his 2023 season.

“I am heartbroken and struggling with a variety of emotions, but I am grateful for all the support and love I have received,” Rodgers wrote in a post on his Instagram account.

“The night is dark before the dawn. I will get back up,” the pivot added.

During the Jets’ first offensive sequence of Monday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, Rodgers was caught behind center by an opponent and his leg got caught at an unnatural angle during the collision.

Later Wednesday, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Rodgers had not yet gone under the knife. He also hinted that he would be “very surprised” if the footballer retired.

The quarterback has stated several times that he wants to play more than one season with the Jets. He has also signed a contract valid until the end of the 2025 season.
