As has already happened several times in 2022, there was a shark attack in Egypt at the end of the summer. The Environment Ministry announced on Facebook that a tourist was attacked by a shark at a popular holiday beach in the south of the Sinai Peninsula.
The predatory fish ripped off the arm of the woman who was on vacation in her own country. According to local media reports, the woman’s life is out of danger.
Eyewitnesses reported that the woman’s left arm was bitten off. Before the attack, she was swimming in a secluded area of a nearby four-star hotel. At first, the woman would have thought that the animal swimming towards her was a tuna – a fatal and serious mistake.
Ultimately, the woman was rescued by her husband, who brought her ashore. Authorities attempted to kill the tiger shark with a harpoon. The attempt failed. The tiger shark managed to escape and the beach was closed by authorities for safety reasons.
