After nearly three decades of marriage, the love story between Hugh Jackman and his wife DeborraLee Furness has come to an end. The news was confirmed by the actors in a statement sent to People magazine this Friday (15). They have two children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
“We have been fortunate to spend nearly three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Jackman and Furness said. According to the artists, the breakup was motivated by the search for “individual growth.”
“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to go our separate ways to further our individual growth. Our family has always been and will be our top priority. We approach this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness,” they wrote.

In the statement, they said they do not intend to address the matter again and asked for respect for the family. “We thank you very much for your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family goes through this transition throughout our lives. “This is the only statement any of us will make,” concluded the text signed by “Deb and Hugh Jackman.”

The last photo the Marvel star posted with his ex was at the MET Gala in New York in May of this year. The two were recently seen at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in England. Hugh Jackman and Deborralee met in 1995 on the set of the Australian television series Corelli. They married on April 11, 1996.
