International progressive leaders gather for summit in Montreal –

International leaders will gather in Montreal on Saturday for the Global Progress Action Summit, bringing together progressive leaders from around the world.

The summit is organized by Think Tank Canada 2020 in collaboration with the Center for American Progress Action Fund, an independent American policy institute.

This meeting will be attended by several Canadian elected officials, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.

About fifteen countries were represented

Political figures attending the summit also include former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin and British Labor Party leader Keir Starmer. More than 15 countries are represented there.

The Summit will bring together progressive global leaders from governments, think tanks and civil society organizations for unique high-level discussions on priorities including economic growth for all, investing in good jobs to combat climate change, and renewing trust in the way democracy delivers results For people in a context of rapid geopolitical changes around the world, we can read in English on the Canada 2020 website.
