Buffaloes star Shilo Sanders hit a pick six before hugging his father Deion in Saturday night’s heated encounter against Colorado State – but LeBron James felt like he missed a trick.

Tension between the two Colorado rivals was at an all-time high ahead of their latest clash, following a very public argument between Deion and fellow coach Jay Norvell this week.

Norvell’s swipe at “Coach Prime” because of his trademark cap and sunglasses caused quite a stir. Sanders responded by handing out sunglasses to his entire team and judges on ESPN’s “First Take” – marketing that netted his custom Blenders line $1.2 million in sales on Friday.

Before Saturday’s game, both teams had to be separated during warm-ups, with Shedeur Sanders – another of Deion’s sons – in the middle as tempers flared between the players.

As for Shilo, he left his own mark on the game by scoring a pick six early in the first quarter.

The 23-year-old intercepted the ball from 80 yards and ran straight through for a sensational turnover, which he celebrated by heading straight towards his father from the touchline.

Deion hugged his son after his incredible pick six, but LeBron was disappointed he couldn’t emulate his father’s famous “high step” move before scoring a pick six.

The basketball legend wrote on X: “SHILO should high step to the ZONE!!!!!! Ayyyyeeeee’ along with laugh, dance and shrug emojis.

Deion, who spent 14 seasons in the NFL, became famous in his own playing career for taking exaggerated steps before scoring touchdowns.

It’s been quite a week for the Sanders family since Deion’s fight with Norvell gained much attention.

On his weekly radio show Wednesday night, Norvell appeared to try to target the Buffaloes’ coach.

“I sat down with ESPN today. I don’t care if you hear it in Boulder. “I told them, I took my hat off and took my glasses off,” he said on “Coach’s Show.”

Shilo was then placed on Colorado's traditional turnover throne while his teammates celebrated

“I said, ‘When I talk to adults, I take off my hat and glasses.’ That’s what my mother taught me.”

Coach Sanders, who also appeared on “First Take,” further played on the feud between him and Norvell by handing out sunglasses to Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim.

The Boulder crowd erupted in an uproar as Sanders, who was wearing sunglasses, handed out his frames to the on-air team. Many of the students, as expected Saturday night, also wore sunglasses in support of Sanders.

Shilo also responded to Norvell’s comments on The Pat McAfee Show.

“Bruh, why do they do this to each other every week?” he asked.
