After the expected year-end releases of the Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series, it’s time to move on to the PC releases. And we hope you’ve finished Baldur’s Gate 3 and Starfield, because there are big releases coming up. Here are the 7 most anticipated PC games at the end of 2023.
Mortal Kombat 1
If the next work of Tekken will wait until 2024 for release, this is not the case with this fighting game license. In addition, Mortal Kombat will soon even offer us a complete reboot of its formula and universe. The idea is to give the license a “fresh start.” This means that the story will be revised and the connections between the various characters will be changed. As for the gameplay, this one Mortal Kombat 1 will offer us some interesting small changes, such as the Cameo system. Are you looking for a game to have fun with your friends in between solo gaming sessions? Well, that’s good, because September is coming Payday 3. As the name suggests, this is the third work of the Payday license, a multiplayer heist license. Your goal in this game will be to plan the craziest heists with your friends and put your plans into action. There are no major changes to note, except for new options that are richer in possibilities. This is particularly the case with the heist shown during the Gamescom launch party: the 99 Boxes heist. In fact, Payday 3 was entrusted to Starbreeze Studios, which had already taken care of the post-launch content.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Phantom Freedom
Almost three years after its (chaotic) release, it’s time for Cyberpunk 2077 to welcome its first DLC. Your name? Cyberpunk 2077 – Phantom Freedom. Whose goal? We take you to a new area of the Pacific. The latter is a lawless district where anarchy reigns. Only one man has real power beyond this district: the vile Solomon Reed. After Keanu Reeves, it is Idris Elba’s turn to lend his face to a cyberpunk character and this time it is an antagonist. In this DLC you will actually have to face the forces of Reed and that will not be an easy task. For this reason, some new gameplay features will not be out of place. For Phantom Liberty, the talent tree has been completely redesigned, a new branch tied to the relic in V’s head will debut and, among other things, an overhaul to how law enforcement works.

EA Sports FC 24
Do you know EA Sports FC? Even if this name is unfamiliar to you, it is still the continuation of a world-famous license: FIFA. But now that EA has lost the rights to that name, the company has been forced to give its series of football simulation games a new name. As a result, in September we are faced with a new, not so new topic: EA Sports FC 24. Please note that the structure of the game remains the same if the name changes. In EA Sports FC 24 you will find the heyday of the last FIFA, starting with the famous FUT mode. But whoever says new work also means some improvements and new functions. For example, we will find new mechanics such as “Advanced Shot Cancellations” that allow you to associate a false shot with a technical gesture, but also new possibilities such as access to trainers or agents in Career Mode.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage
After a busy month of September, an at least equally busy month of October begins. And it starts early with the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Almost three years after the release of Valhalla, Ubisoft’s flagship license is entitled to a new work. But be careful, forget about the large open worlds, hundreds of hours of gameplay and RPG mechanics. Mirage is a slightly different episode, intended as a “back to basics.” The aim is therefore to offer a more linear adventure, focused primarily on one city (Baghdad) and the three original pillars of the license: discretion, assassination and parkour. Valhalla players will still be able to find Basim, who returns in this work. He is even the protagonist and players can follow his eventful rise in Those We Do Not See.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
This year, fans of the Lord of the Rings saga were impatiently waiting for the game The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Unfortunately, the game released last May was very disappointing. With a score of 34/100, the title is even the worst-rated game of the year on Metacritic. To forget this disappointment, fans of the Tolkien universe have decided to transfer all their expectations to another title, making it one of the most anticipated games of the year on JV: The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. This time you will immerse yourself in the world of the dwarves. They are trying to reclaim the land of Moria and you will help them in this survival game that can be played both solo and cooperatively (up to eight players). A completely different game than Gollum, which of course we hope is more convincing.
