Taylor Swift announced this week that her Eras Tour concert film will be released in US theaters in October.

And it looks like the film is coming to Australia at the same time, with fans discovering it’s listed on the Hoyts Cinema app as a release date of October 13th.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour can be found in the Coming Soon section of the app. However, there are currently no session times available.

The description says: “The cultural phenomenon continues on the big screen!” Immerse yourself in this unique concert film experience with a breathtaking, cinematic look at the history-making tour.”

Hoyts has not confirmed the film will be shown in October, news.com.au revealed on Sunday.

In America, advance tickets for the film sold out so quickly that theaters have already added additional showtimes to meet growing demand, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In fact, due to its rapid pace, insiders and industry experts are predicting that the film could reach $100 million in ticket sales due to fans who have already purchased their tickets in advance.

Citing other expert sources, the THR article did not rule out the possibility that the film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” could gross $150 million or more in the U.S. alone, on a budget ranging from $10 to $100 million and should be 20 million US dollars.

These numbers are higher than many traditional films released in theaters in recent years.

AMC, the company that won the rights to distribute the concert film, reported that advance sales brought in a staggering $26 million in the first 24 hours that tickets were available.

Taylor announced a third Melbourne show at the MCG on February 18 next year and a fourth Sydney concert at Accor Stadium on February 26 as part of The Eras Tour.

She will be the first artist since Madonna to perform three consecutive concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground when she takes the stage in February next year, and the first ever to play Sydney’s Accor Stadium for a fourth consecutive year.

The new performances complement existing Melbourne concerts on February 16, 17 and 18 and Sydney shows on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.
