The 2S31 “Vena” is a self-propelled artillery and mortar howitzer. The combat vehicle was designed to counter Western armored vehicles, including German Leopard tanks and American M1 Abrams.
The self-propelled launcher can shoot up to 13,000 meters. The ammunition package consists of 70 rounds of different types of ammunition. These include high-precision Kitolov-2 projectiles. In addition to the main gun, the combat vehicle is equipped with a 7.62 mm caliber machine gun.
The power plant is represented by a multi-fuel engine with a capacity of 450 horsepower. As a result, the 2S31 “Vena” reaches a speed of 70 km/h. The combat vehicle is also capable of traveling on water at a maximum speed of 10 km/h. The range is 500 kilometers.
