Russell Brand’s former assistant claims she “felt sick” when she “recognized her girlfriend in pictures as the star showed intimate photos of women to his entourage.”

Russell Brand’s former assistant claimed she “felt sick” after the comedian allegedly showed her “naked” photos of women and she recognized someone she knew.

As part of an investigation into Brand’s conduct, Helen Berger, who worked for Brand between 2006 and 2007, claims the star showed the intimate images to her and his entourage in an Edinburgh bar.

“It did something to me,” Ms. Berger said. “I immediately felt sick.

“These are women who don’t expect to be shown that they like the guy’s friends.” I felt terrible for all these people, these women. I felt ashamed at that moment.’

Ms Berger described Brand as a “narcissist” whose “favorite subject he was”. She also claimed he was “always in his underwear” around her.

After sending her resume to a recruiting agency, Ms. Berger received an interview to work with Russell.

She said: “It was an exciting time.” “Russell was on a national comedy tour, he wrote a book, he had a weekly column in the Guardian, he had two shows – Big Brother’s Big Mouth, 1 Leicester TV.”

Ms Berger claims some of Brand’s behavior is something she doesn’t accept these days – such as him wearing underwear in her presence.

“He only ever wore underwear,” she said. “His tights.

“I don’t think I would accept a boss wearing only underwear around me today.”

Referring to his “sex addiction”, Ms Berger claims he “couldn’t stop sleeping with women” and was “never satisfied”.

She claims he always asked her to write down the phone numbers of female audience members at his shows. Ms Berger said if she saw this behavior now she would think it wasn’t right, but back then it was so “normalised”.

The former employee claims she and he were in a bar with him one night at the Edinburgh Festival, where Brand was headlining

s writing partner Matt Morgan – among others.

She said: “A producer was with us and said, ‘Show us some of these pictures’.”

“Russell pulled out his phone and started showing us pictures of women and everyone just giggled at the photos. “These are women who send you pictures of themselves with their bare breasts.”

Ms. Berger added: “At one point I thought, “Okay, let me see what we’re looking at.”

After seeing a woman she knew in one of the pictures, Ms Berger felt “sick” and admitted she was “ashamed”.

When asked if she ever had concerns about consent to Brand’s encounters, she said: “I never worried.” I saw many women who knew who he was “S***er of the Year,” willingly went to his bedroom.

“I never thought he was someone who raped or assaulted someone.” No, I didn’t think that. As far as I knew, what could I know about it when I wasn’t there other than from what I saw?’

The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches investigation into the 48-year-old star found that several women accused him of abusive and predatory behavior between 2006 and 2013, including rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.

Before the Dispatches episode aired, Brand posted a video on his YouTube channel denying the allegations. He insisted that all relationships he had were consensual.

The Metropolitan Police have said they will speak to the media following their investigation into Brand’s alleged treatment of women, but added that at this stage police have “no reports relating” to the allegations of sexual assault detailed in the article received documentation.
