Customs activity at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport was slowed by a computer failure Sunday afternoon.
This nationwide outage affects border control terminals, according to Montreal Airport.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” airport management said on social media.

On X, an internet user sharply criticized the waiting time at Montreal-Trudeau Airport.
The latter shared a photo of the impressive queue at Canadian customs and mentioned that he thought he would have to wait at least two more hours before passing through border control.
“Third world countries do better,” he wrote.
About twenty minutes later he mentioned that he had only progressed about fifteen meters since his first release.
Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) told TVA Nouvelles that all Canadian airports were affected by this computer failure.
The waiting time in Montreal is currently estimated at 90 minutes, according to ADM.
