Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and A9 Plus appear in new

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and A9 Plus appear in new pre-launch leaks – notebookcheck.biz

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series has been spotted with a vanilla variant. This regular A9 has joined the first Plus version on the NBTC website, which confirms the respective model names and numbers.

The Galaxy Tab A9 has the number SM-X115, while the Tab A9 Plus (or A9+) has the model number SM-X216 identified by the FCC. Speaking of which, the Tab A9 Plus was also visited at https://fcc.io/ZCASMX115, where live images can be seen that suggest a very conventional Samsung tablet build (with perhaps less than stellar viewing angles). It also looks like the Tab A9 and A9+ will both have USB-C ports for 15W charging, not to mention 5mm jacks and 3.5mm jacks.

However, it appears that the A9 will be by far the smallest tablet in its series, with a footprint of 210.7 x 124.7 mm and a battery that wouldn’t be much larger, according to UL testing, with a rated capacity of 5,100 mAh average smartphones with similar specifications.

Speaking of which, the SM-X115 has also appeared in another leak on Geekbench, which points to the same Android 13 storage capacity and 4GB of RAM as the A9+. However, it has a different SoC, perhaps Qualcomm, with 6 cores clocked at 2GHz and 2 more at 2.2GHz.

These specs come with a range of Snapdragon processors, the latest of which is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. However, the A9 is now expected to support 4G/LTE, as opposed to an upgrade to 5G from its Plus counterpart. Regardless of what silicon it gets, it will almost certainly cost even less than the new Tab A series flagship.
