With training camp starting in just a few days, it was difficult to meet Nick Suzuki at a non-hockey event without bringing up the sports aspect.

The Canadiens captain will reunite with right winger Cole Caufield, with whom he enjoyed great success. However, we wonder who will patrol the left flank of the trio.
“I don’t know. Cole and I bring different things to the table and it doesn’t matter what Marty is [St-Louis] We will decide, we will adapt. It’s still unclear at the moment, but we’ll see what it looks like in camp.”
Last season the duo developed particularly with Kirby Dach, who is in danger of regaining his position in midfield this season. Suzuki and Caufield also played with Josh Anderson and Sean Monahan.

Not easy
The Canadiens are in the midst of a rebuild and find themselves in a highly competitive Atlantic division, and Suzuki is aware of it.
“It’s probably the toughest division in hockey, there are competitions every year. I love being in our position now.”
Last season, only two teams, the Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings, played under .500 in the Atlantic.
They must once again try to find a place behind the strong Boston Bruins, followed by the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning, two experienced teams, and not forgetting the surprising Florida Panthers.
Nothing to worry about
The situation that rocked the Columbus Blue Jackets over the weekend was also discussed.
Head coach Mike Babcock decided to resign after it was revealed that he had asked his players to show him their cell phone photos.
“I haven’t looked too deeply into what happened there and you can’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, it’s their situation and they have to deal with it.
“We have an incredible coaching staff and in our case there is no reason to worry,” assured Suzuki.
