Hugh Jackman looked sombre as he spent time with good friend Ryan Reynolds in New York on Monday – just days after his shocking split from wife Deborra-Lee Furness was announced.
The 53-year-old Wolverine actor, who was married to Furness, 67, for 27 years, was pensive as he chatted with his longtime pal and co-star Reynolds on a day off.
Jackman wore a black jacket over a white T-shirt, pants and sneakers and sported a bushy beard.
Reynolds, who has four children with his wife Blake Lively, wore a black jacket, gray pants and a baseball cap as he chatted with his friend.
Over the weekend, Jackman was spotted running errands around town without his wedding ring after announcing his split from his long-term partner.

On Friday, Jackman and Furness – who have been married for 27 years – issued a joint statement confirming their split.
The couple announced they were filing for divorce after nearly three decades of marriage.
“We have been fortunate to spend nearly three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” read a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate to further our individual growth,” the couple explained as their reason for ending their marriage.
“Our family has always been and will always be our top priority,” the statement continued. “We approach this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.”
They also added, “We thank you very much for your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition throughout our lives.”
The Australian couple have two adult children – son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18.
Jackman spoke briefly to paparazzi on the street on Saturday and admitted that he and his soon-to-be ex-wife are struggling with their split.

As he walked down a street, he revealed that “it’s a difficult time” but declined to talk further about the split.
Last April, the couple had just celebrated their wedding anniversary and Jackman posted a gushing tribute to his wife on Instagram.
“I love you, Deb.” Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 years! “I love you so much,” the actor wrote in his caption.
“Together we have created a beautiful family.” And life. Your laughter, your spirit, your generosity, your humor, your sass, your courage and your loyalty are an incredible gift to me. “I love you with all my heart,” he shared in the heartfelt post.
