The president and first lady Jill Biden also posed for a group photo with Balefsky and her friends at the restaurant, which serves $42 ravioli and $69 lamb.
“The President ruined my birthday dinner but it’s still my day,” Balefsky captioned the post.

Biden arrived in Manhattan on Sunday evening to attend the United Nations General Assembly and lead a series of political fundraisers benefiting his re-election campaign.
But before his official schedule began, he spent several hours at Il Cantinori celebrating his granddaughter Finnegan’s 23rd birthday.

Hunter was charged with weapons possession last week, just two days after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that the Republican Party was launching an impeachment investigation into the president as it sought to link him to his son’s controversial foreign dealings .
The president has not yet formally commented on Hunter’s impeachment, although he said he had “good luck” with Republicans in the impeachment inquiry when he returned to the White House from Wilmington on Sunday.
