Nichole Coats, 32, was found dead in her apartment on Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, USA. Two days later, 31yearold Maleesa Mooney was also found dead in her apartment in Bunker Hill in the same city. In addition to the short period of time between one episode and the other, the distance between them was only 1 km because the models lived close to each other. The families believe that both were victims of murder. “This doesn’t make any sense and I want some answers because my daughter is gone,” Sharon Coats, Nikki’s mother, told KTLA, outraged that the dead woman was not investigated as a possible murder. “And it’s not fair. I want everyone to find out who did this to her. She shouldn’t have left,” she continued of her daughter, who was reportedly found bloody in bed.
“I couldn’t recognize her. I really believe it was murder. One of his legs was raised in the air in a kicking position. “This isn’t someone who just laid in bed and died,” said May Stevens, Nichole’s aunt.

Coats’ father and aunt located her on September 10, according to KTLA and local media. They were afraid they wouldn’t hear from her for several days and decided to go to her house. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that officers discovered Maleesa’s body after arriving for a welfare check.
Authorities are still awaiting autopsy results to determine the causes of death and ensure it is not yet clear whether the two crimes are connected.
