Cara Delevingne said she will likely delete her X Page (formerly known as Twitter) after it was recently hacked and company officials were reluctant to reset her account.
The 31-year-old actress-model took to the social media platform, where she has more than 9,000,000 followers, on Monday to explain the situation.
“I was hacked a week ago and it took me so long to get back into my account,” the London native said of her account, which she set up in June 2011.
The supermodel said her account was hacked by scammers who set up a fake computer business to advertise to Delevingne’s followers.
“If you ever see anything about Mac books or trying to sell something on this Twitter, it’s NOT REAL!!! I’m sorry people! “I sincerely apologize,” she said.

The 31-year-old actress and model took to the social media platform, where she has more than 9,000,000 followers, to explain the situation
Delevingne said that leaders at the company, which has laid off a significant portion of its workforce since Elon Musk took over, were slow to respond to the illegal hacking attack.
“I’m so mad at Twitter or whatever it’s called now because it took me so long to get my account back!!” she said. “So many people have been cheated and I’m angry.”
Delevingne said the experience convinced her to remove her page on the platform and promote the alternative social media sites where she has a presence.
“I will delete my account so this never happens again,” she said. “Still on Instagram, Threads and Tik Tok. “Again, I’m so sorry.”
Delevingne was spotted at the Vogue World and Moncler afterparty with fellow models Adwoa Aboah and Emily Ratajkowski in her native London last Thursday.
The swanky event took place at the private Mayfair members’ club George, with all friends arriving in high spirits after the party.

The model and actress turned heads on Thursday night when she emerged from the crowd at the Theater Royal Drury Lane wearing a colorful punk mohawk look.
